How to launch a Campaign in FabAds?

FabAds lets you launch campaigns from three entry points: Launch, Reporting, and Creative Library. This guide covers the Launch method.

Navigate to Launch

  1. From the main menu, go to Launch → Launches.

✅ You’re now on the Launches screen.

  1. Click New Launch.
  2. Select Traffic Source.

✅ A new launch draft is created for your chosen source.

Step 3 – Choose Basic Campaign Settings

  1. Ad Account – Select the account to run/bill the campaign.
  2. Page – Choose the Facebook/Instagram page the ads will run from.
  3. Pixel (Optional) – Attach a pixel for conversion tracking.
  4. Tracking URL / URL Tags (Optional) – Add UTMs or tracking params.
  5. Click Next.
  • Ad Account: Controls billing currency, timezone, access & policy limits—the wrong one can misalign budget and reporting.
  • Page: Determines the brand handle users see; impacts trust & engagement.
  • Pixel: Enables conversion measurement & optimization; without it, learning is limited.
  • Tracking URL/Tags: Preserves source/medium/campaign in analytics for reliable attribution.

Step 4 – Targeting setup

When you reach Targeting, choose to use a template or start from scratch. This ensures your audience aligns with your goal (Traffic, Leads, Sales).

Why FabFunnel asks for Traffic Source & Targeting Type

  • Traffic Source (Facebook, TikTok, Google, etc.) defines available placements & audience data.

  • Targeting Type aligns setup to the objective:

    • Traffic Generation – drive site/app visits
    • Lead Generation – capture sign-ups/forms
    • Sales – drive purchases/conversions

Part A — Using a Targeting Template

Option 1 – Choose a Pre-Saved Template

  1. Open the Targeting Template dropdown.
  2. Select your template.
  3. Click Proceed to apply saved locations, demographics, events, etc.

Option 2 – Choose a Recommended Template

  1. Pick a suggested preset (e.g., Sales Campaign, Traffic Campaign).
  2. Click Proceed to load platform-proven defaults.

Templates accelerate launches, enforce best practices, and reduce human error—ideal for evergreen/promos.

Option 3 — Starting Fresh (Manual Targeting)

  1. Click Skip and Start with New.

  2. Configure:

    • Campaign Bid Strategy: CBO (shared) or ABO (per ad set)
    • Objective: Conversions / Leads / Traffic (Engagement where relevant)
    • Location Targeting: include/exclude regions
    • Demographics: Gender, Age, Language
    • Conversion Event: Purchase, Add to Cart, Lead, etc.
    • Conversion Location: Website, App, Messenger
    • Performance Goal: Maximize Conversions / Maximize Link Clicks
    • CTA: Shop Now, Learn More, Sign Up

Part C — Create a New Targeting Template (for reuse)

  1. Launch → Targeting Templates → Create.

  2. Select Traffic Source: Facebook / TikTok / Google.

  3. Name the Template (e.g., US_18-34_Purchase_LAL3%_CBO).

  4. Campaign Configuration

    • Bid Strategy: Lowest Cost / Bid Cap / Cost Cap
    • Objective: Conversions / Traffic / Engagement / Lead Gen
    • Budget Type: ABO (per ad set) or CBO (shared)
  5. Audience Targeting

    • Locations (include/exclude; radius)
    • Demographics (gender, age, languages)
    • Interests & Behaviors (if supported)
  6. Conversion Settings

    • Event (Purchase, Add to Cart, Lead, …)
    • Location (Website, App, Messenger)
  7. Optimization & Delivery

    • Performance Goal, CTA
  8. Save Template → appears under Launch → Targeting Templates.

Include location, age band, objective, audience type, and budget mode in the template name. Start with Lowest Cost unless you must hit strict CPA/CPL.
